In July of 2006, Tracy Tenpenny emerged from the world of Interior Design and Architecture with a line of jewelry inspired by the shapes, structures, colors, and engineering that dominate the design world. Her designs transcend the style spectrum from the elegant to the fun and funky. Tracy Tenpenny pieces are originally designed and handcrafted with the intention of providing a unique and simple elegance to all women's fashion, whether the occasion is a sporting event, a girl's night out, or a sophisticated formal evening.

Shortly after Tracy graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where she studied Interior Design and Architecture, her mother passed away after a long battle with Ovarian Cancer. As an escape from the loss, Tracy began designing jewelry. Despite a growing career as a Design Director at an architecture firm, she continued to create jewelry and found success selling these pieces through private trunk shows and word of mouth. On the 5 year anniversary of her mother's death she left her corporate job to pursue her passion for jewelry design full-time, dedicated to emulate her mother's spirit of life.

Tracy is active in the community and is committed to helping charitable organizations that are close to her heart. She has been active in the International Interior Design Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Austin's Children Shelter, and the Real Estate Council of Austin. She not only serves on the boards of such organizations, she also spends countless hours helping these organizations give back to the community. Philanthropy is an extremely important part of Tracy's life and is a corner stone of Tracy Tenpenny Design.
